NewCourtland wants everyone to be aware that a new Pennsylvania law requires every registered voter to present an acceptable picture ID on Election Day. To cast a ballot on November 6, each voter must have one of the following forms of identification: a valid PA driver’s license, a valid PA photo ID, a current US Passport, an ID from the military, or an ID from a PA state university.
Photo IDs can be obtained at any PennDOT Photo & Exam Centers (Philadelphia addresses and times listed below). If you have questions about the new law or voter IDs, call the Voter ID Coalition Hotline at 866-OUR-VOTE (866-687-8683).
For more information, you can also visit the Committee of Seventy's website to make sure you are registered to vote. And make sure you have a Voter ID. Your vote is too important not to count.
