Dozens of Senior Citizens to Attend 3rd Annual Senior Safety Event

What:
On August 25th, NewCourtland Senior Services and the Philadelphia Police Department will host a senior safety event at NewCourtland’s Philadelphia Senior Center on the Avenue of the Arts. Presentations will be made by members of the Philadelphia Police Department, the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office, Philadelphia Corporation for Aging, the Senior Law Center, CAIRE, PECO, PGW and PWRB.

The event will offer tips on general safety and solutions for seniors to protect themselves against different scams and beneficial programs offered to seniors in the Philadelphia area. Through this presentation, NewCourtland looks to inform Philadelphia’s seniors on ways to stay safe in their homes and communities and to equip them with the necessary resources to do so.
