Germantown Home is excited to announce Dr. Todd Aaron as our new Medical Director
Dr. Aaron is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania who completed his residency training through Temple University. Originally from New York, Dr. Aaron has spent most of his career practicing here in the Philadelphia area. He specializes in the care and treatment of older adult patients with multi-organ system diseases and complex illnesses. As a clinical instructor of hospital-based medicine, Dr. Aaron has mentored hundreds of medical students, interns, residents, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants over the years.
Not only does he practice in the hospital setting, but he also follows patients in the community as well as in subacute nursing and long-term care facilities. This facilitates the continuity of care of all of his patients. With over 20 years of experience as a hospice medical director, it is not enough to simply diagnose and treat patients but to always keep in mind a palliative approach when a cure is no longer possible.
Dr. Aaron has been awarded numerous accolades over the years, both locally and nationally recognized. He is one of the youngest physicians elected by his peers as a fellow of the American College of Physicians, a position he still holds decades later. He was also named “Top Doc” in Internal Medicine by Philadelphia Magazine multiple years running.
