The NewCourtland Center for Transitions and Health is hosting a webinar titled “Social Isolation and Loneliness in Older Adults” on May 11, 2021.

The webinar is open to caregivers and older adults alike and it starts at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, May 11, 2021.

This will be a discussion with expert panelists from the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine consensus study report, Social Isolation and Loneliness in Older Adults: Opportunities for the Health Care System (2020). Experts summarize the evidence base and explore how social isolation and loneliness affects health and quality of life in older adults, particularly among low income, underserved, and vulnerable populations..
